Caitlin Roe
(Registered Physiotherapist)
Caitlin is a Registered Physiotherapist, having graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2022 with her Master of Health Sciences in Physiotherapy. Caitlin developed a passion for rehabilitation at a young age competing in various sports such as alpine ski racing, rowing, and soccer. After experiencing her own sports injuries and rehabilitation at this time, she ultimately stumbled upon physiotherapy as a dream career. Athletic endeavours aside, Caitlin understands how frustrating any injury can be, and strives to help all individuals return to doing what they love to do best, regardless of activity level.
Caitlin seeks to truly get to know what motivates you, bringing empathy and compassion to her practice. She combines specifically targeted exercises with a hands-on, manual therapy approach. She is also a strong believer in evidenced-based practice, staying up to date with current research. Caitlin believes that there is empowerment in education, and she strives to educate and engage her patients, putting them at the centre of their recovery journey!
Caitlin recognizes the importance of feeling comfortable expressing yourself in your first language. Being bilingual and having completed her studies in French, she is thrilled to offer treatment to both English and French speakers!
Caitlin has completed her Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) Part A: Lumbar Spine (The McKenzie Institute Canada) to allow better ease of diagnosis and treatment of lower back pain; as well as her Functional Dry Needling (FDN) Level 1 (Evidence in Motion), a technique similar to acupuncture, to allow better ease of diagnosis and treatment of various injuries.
In her spare time, Caitlin likes to stay active by playing soccer, doing yoga and cycling. She also likes to sing, play guitar, read and paint!
